The National Museum of Montenegro is pleased to announce this year’s Summer at the Museum programme, which will take place throughout July and August, offering a series of creative and educational workshops for children, young people, adults and families.

The programme is designed to provide participants with a unique opportunity to explore history, art and cultural heritage through interactive activities that encourage learning, creativity and discovery. Unlike traditional forms of education, the workshops offer a hands-on museum experience, allowing visitors to engage with museum collections through play, dialogue and creative expression.

Through this programme, the National Museum of Montenegro reaffirms its role not only as a guardian of cultural heritage but also as a place of inspiration, creativity and meaningful encounters, open to visitors of all generations.

The first workshop will take place on Tuesday, 7 July, at 11:00 a.m. at the Montenegrin Gallery of Art “Miodrag Dado Đurić” and will be dedicated to the exhibition of the Archaeological Museum.

Following a guided introduction to the exhibition, participants will have the opportunity to create their own clay artefact inspired by the museum’s archaeological collection, while learning about archaeology and the importance of preserving cultural heritage.

The workshop is intended for school-age children, and all materials will be provided by the National Museum of Montenegro.

Those interested are kindly invited to register by e-mail at: pedagog@narodnimuzej.me.

We invite you to join us this summer and experience the museum through learning, creativity and unforgettable discoveries.
